Pros
20th floor of the Richards Group building gave a great view of dallas. Northpark right next door made shopping at lunch a breeze. The outdoor mall right next door always had something to do. Great restaurants in the area. (Notice I said nothing about the company?)
Cons
No technology controls. Developers introducing new techs on a whim with no authority in place to control. This lead to so many technologies that no one person could keep up with and also lead to so many "one offs" that every new problem was band-aided. No architect team to govern how things were deployed so everyone did their own thing. A nightmare.
