Pros
I love coming to work every day and being surrounded by brilliant, driven people who are inventing and cultivating cutting edge science to solve some of the world’s big problems in human health and sustainability. I chose Flagship Pioneering over another attractive (and prestigious) job offer in Boston for which I’d been interviewing for the better part of a year. I do not regret my choice. (The interviews-to-offer process for me at FP was professional, transparent, and expedient). The staff is pretty diverse from a gender and international perspective and becoming even more so as it grows. FP is quite generous and has the best benefits of anywhere I’ve worked in my 20-year career. Culturally speaking, the work ethic is strong as you would expect at a place where people are crazy smart and ambitious, yet the culture is collegial and friendly. I consider it a privilege to work here. It’s a great place to “do science” and also “do good.” It’s a place that attracts people who aren’t in it just to make money. If that jibes with your values, then you will be quite happy working here.

Arguably this isn't even a con but: Potential to gain the "Flagship fifteen" as the company feeds the staff quite a lot!
