Hello, Thank you for your feedback – however it is difficult to accept that all of your criticism is logical and based on facts. 1. For your comment on work life balance – we have been building our Engineering team at Chennai over the past 4 years. There is definitely a learning curve to work on our products and we do recognize that this phase can be challenging to some. We have however over the last couple of years put together a very structured bootcamp process to train our employees which we believe should make the learning process more easier. 2. We believe strongly in building an Agile organization and in usage of efficient tooling to support our engineering activities. All of our activities are tracked on JIRA as tickets and any decent product backlog will have a mix of enhancement and maintenance tickets. All work will be consequently split into “tickets” – there is no way around this. 3. You are correct - Flatirons works in a highly regulated and complex industry and our applications are complex. That is why we look constantly to hire the smartest engineers. 4. Some of our best senior engineers & tech leads have been with and grown with the organization over the last 4 years we have had our office at Chennai. 5. We expect our engineers to be self driven and this applies to all levels. We will help our employees pick up skills but we still expect self initiative. 6. When an employee puts in their papers – enforcing the notice period is the prerogative of the company. Even if serving notice, we expect our employees to be professional and perform their assigned tasks. There is no reason for a company to pay salary if work is not getting done. As an organization we strongly believe our employees are our biggest asset and it is in our interest to ensure they are adequately trained on products/processes to succeed.
