Pros

It was a steady paycheck.

Cons

No rhyme or reason for the ever changing shifts. Treat full time like dirt and part time like manure. Several times a day they change what is a priority and don’t give you the man power to get it done. Chew you out for empty spots on shelves when you are expected to make customer service #1, because there isn’t enough manpower. Drove many good part time employees away due to cutting hours. Promise you many things but don’t deliver on much of anything. Gave “ rewards” for signing up people on credit cards but then forgot to give you the rewards... which was a candy bar. Funny other places of business give a monetary reward of $5/card to employees as incentives. They also do everything in their power to not give you a raise. Caught management in several flat out lies. Advertises items not in stock. Ancient inventory control/ tracking/ backstocking. Trying to grow online in store pickup orders without having enough team members to work it. Same with shipping order items out from each store. I had planned to retire there but after the company was sold to a group of investors, they made it impossible to enjoy working there. Lucky for me I am young enough to pursue other venues, unlike numerous co workers who are trapped and hate working there.

Pros

Management was very nice. Fun environment to work in. Great scheduling.

Cons

Not very many cons at all. Maybe that some days we were short of staff in the back and had overloads of work to do and not enough time.

Pros

There's a lot to learn, and working as a service writer helped me develop skills and aquire knowledge. I learned about everything from tires and oil filters to POS and inventory systems, warehousing, customer service, and the auto parts industry.

Cons

There is no end to the amount of hard work, and it'll break down someone's body in time. My spine started compressing from carrying tires, I injured my ankle and it never had a chance to heal properly, so I still have pain up to this day. If you're not 100% on time there's a real chance you will be fired, no matter how long you've worked there. I think there's a 3 minute window to punch in late, and that's it. After 3 late punch ins you're toast. Customers are always angry there because fleet farm doesn't have what they need even though they had it last time they were there. It's typical to see customer service being abused. In fact, I was verbally assaulted by an irate customer and was threatened and intimidated, and management did not back me up, which led to my resignation.
