Pros
Huge potential if a very talented management can get a grip on what customers want, what works and what don't. Will dominate the industry once we learn where all the buttons and levers are.
Cons
We are in an industry founded on long term relationships but owned by shareholders with only short term goals, makes it difficult for managers to dance to the music. Unbelievable pressure to sell without a working system or clear understanding of the market. Upper management is stratified and highly empowered, sometimes makes many decisions in a vacuum. Large number of young middle managers regurgitating what they were taught by their professors..very little applicable to our industry. Have lost most of our technically proficient personnel due to neglect, snobbery, alienation and a confusing mix of counterproductive demands.
