Pros

Amazing organization, some of the most brilliant people i've ever worked with. Tony is an exceptional, technical leader who's cultivated an incredible culture of execution, feedback, and customer satisfaction. I truly believe if this company was cultivated in the silicon valley, it would've already been a unicorn. That's not a slight at all to the amazing operators there, but more so the lack of overall capital, and lack of local support from Birmingham as a whole(that's changing very slowly)

Cons

No negatives, but I would say while I love the intentionality behind the hiring process at the company and consistent feedback funnels, I'd say really increase the speed in which you give your employees autonomy, you already hire fantastic people, let them all the way loose and watch the magic that happens.

Pros

Very functional scale-up. We are well-resourced in regards to the tech stack and my team is given quite a bit of autonomy to execute our tasks. The role is flexible and duties challenging but reasonable. Great company culture, good cross-team collab happens all the time.

Cons

Sometimes Product iterates so fast that new features get launched before we're made aware of it or trained on them. It's a "good" problem to have I suppose, all things considered. Just inconvenient and awkward when the customer asks about it on a live call and we have no idea what they're talking about.

Pros

I truly love the work I get to do every day at Fleetio. The people are genuinely kind, smart, and helpful. There’s strong flexibility and trust with work-life balance. Fleetio also feels like it’s in a really exciting stage. It’s beyond the early startup days, but there’s still plenty of runway to help scale the business, work on special projects, and have a real impact. I’ve also appreciated the amount of autonomy in my role. I’m given a clear target, but I have the space to determine the best way to get there.

Cons

Indicative of a lot of tech companies, the pace may not be for everyone. Priorities can shift at times, so you do have to be flexible and on board with doing what's best for the business, even if it means switching gears and going in a different direction at times.
