Pros
Good working culture. Flexible working arrangement. Being a building and construction company, FB isnt a cutting edge technology company. As such, there is alot of opportunity to contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Cons
Slow technology adoption. There is a sense that an "Old Boys Club" exist in the upper management layer. Really young and promising talent was lost because there was a sense that there is a preference towards older and more experience skillset. Whilst this is quite a traditional style of working, this tends to be the reasons why technology is slow to be adopted here. With technology changing so quickly, its less likely to find skillsets that have vast amount of experience on the new technologies. The org structure is also highly complex. With multiple business units managing their own IT spend, its hard for the GT function to execute a consolidated view. Valuable resources is spent working through the various areas just to gain consensus. Instead it tries to meet all their needs which on many occasions digresses from the wider FB strategy.
