Pros

My workgroup was excellent; I was paired with a team that facilitated technology immersion, a broader depth in my field of employment, and an unlimited amount of potential future work- caused in part by poor processes and management in certain locales.

Cons

If your role must deal with APAC, their legacy management is poor. Bad decision-making, worse collaboration, and a seemingly rogue operation not held accountable for any standard business practices. It is not limited to 'just operations' but systemic performance and accountability issues within any of the functions (sourcing, finance, etc) that report locally. I have had 15 years working in China, Malaysia, etc with multiple multi-nationals as both a consultant and employee.. The management at the GM level and above would not have been hired by another company OR their performance would have spoken volumes about their ability to carry the Flextronics flag.

Pros

Very friendly, as close to family as a company can get. Extremely large, so support exists for any task, even if not on site.

Cons

Long over burdened processes for capital to produce quality goods, on time. Pay for talent is lower than industry average

Pros

Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) were quite good.

Cons

Flex tolerates a toxic work culture from their most senior leaders. My director, literally, yelled at me daily, usually throughout the day. He physically grabbed me and forced me in the direction he wanted me to move. He threatened to fire me or replace me at least once a week. I went to the then director of HR who did absolutely nothing. After she was let go I went to her successor who told me there was no record of me speaking with HR before. And she did nothing. Unable to tolerate the work environment, I left. The company doesn't take safety seriously. We had shelving collapse resulting in an employee needing medical attention. The person tasked with designing and building storage has no training, no mechanical background, and no analysis is being performed to validate if the storage can hold 1,000+ pounds. There's no budget for professionally designed storage and, again, I was threatened for raising this as a concern. I learned today this same director is continuing to use me as a scapegoat despite me no longer working there.
