Pros
The pay for exempt employees is generally very good; this retains money motivated individuals over skill / talent. Benefits are also very good. I enjoyed most individuals I worked with directly. The site is part of a larger corporate entity. If you are willing to move, there is ample opportunity outside the site with better resources.
Cons
There isn't a lot of room for creative solutions or problem solving; requirements are fed to the site by the customer and / or corporate. Contracts are accepted with limited understanding (at both the site and corporate level) at what is required to execute the project successfully to meet customer needs. Management is inexperienced and inconsistent at best, and promotes from within based on favoritism instead of skill. There is little employee recognition, if any. The average tenure at the site, save a select few, is low (less than five years), and attrition is high. Employees are consistently leaving, and are leaving at a higher rate than the site can hire. The company culture and lack of work life balance leave a lot to be desired.
