Pros
Due to limited budgets, or budget shortfalls, there is a need for adjuncts. Departments are always in need of adjunct faculty in order to provide support for over-extended faculty.
Cons
FAU does not value professors or adjuncts and this is reflected in hiring practices, budget allocation, and departmental practices. Many departments outside of the business school are underfunded, understaffed and with too few faculty.
