Good community, good holiday breaks, good benefits (state insurance, tuition reimbursement, access to FSU campus facilities and events, etc). Many depts do hybrid work, casual dress code.

Pay at the public sector typically isnt as good as private, though the longer you stay it can get better. FSU is huge so experiences can differ based on who you work with/department. Rumor is that its hard to fire people at a public job so sometimes people are incompentent/inefficient. Hybrid policies vary per department, and alot of stuff is governed by the state what we can or cant do.
