Pros
your work schedule is *in theory* supposed to be flexible with only a few fixed hours each week
Cons
The flexibility of schedule is nullified by the number of hours of work which is usually well over 60 with no recognition nor extra pay. Once you get two promotions it's a dead end for professional development. The "holiday breaks" don't even exist since the workload doesn't take a break. Every year an increasing percentage of the students need specialized accommodations, requiring you to adapt the entire method of delivery and content you teach, and the OAS threatens that they can sue if they aren't pleased.
