Pros

FSU provided me with a wonderful opportunity to design my own syllabuses and create the kind of classroom experience I wanted to provide my students. Preparing for daily lectures such that I could successfully teach my students required special mastery of the subject matter that I would not otherwise have had.

Cons

The time commitment to teach the students well is significant. But such a commitment is to be expected.
