I can not think of any postitive attributes that the tech side of this copany offers.
Cons
--No Flexibility, you are expected to be at work at 8:00AM sharp regardless of the countless on call hours worked from the night before.Often these phone calls can last into the early morning hours. --On call rotation is horrible 24/7 when it’s your week and most of the calls entail fixing job failures that occur due to old and antiquated technology or trouble shooting issues from workers in the field that do not have the intelligence or training to perform their job --No work/life balance! If you have a sick child or need to take care one of life’s many unforeseen circumstances be prepared to answer 1000 questions. --Work from home is not authorized even though you will spend ridiculous hours working from home resolving issues when you are on call?? --Basically System Analyst are glorified Tech Support. The help desk will just call you in the middle of the night when they can’t figure out how to resolve an issue. --Parking! You have to park blocks away in order to accommodate the Southern Baptist Church across the street. --You are shunned upon if one prefers to take lunch, it is preferred that you work through lunch --vacation package and benefits are not so good --Management lacks the ability to communicate
