Pros
Friendly, down-to-earth co-workers Plenty of opportunities to learn new skills
Cons
They very rarely promote within and primarily seek outside talent for roles. Your only hope for getting promoted or hired for the high paying roles is nepotism, your golf game, or knowing the right people. They preach DEI but the leadership team is 95% older white men and 99% white. Remote work is allowed but somehow there is NO work/life balance. You’ll be called at 8pm, on your day off, during the weekends, etc to work on something “urgent.” Additionally, after making record breaking profits during covid- they turned around and laid off employees in 2023. This company will die a long and slow death because they refuse to catch up with the times and hand the reins over to the younger generation. I think Flowers COULD be a great place to work and I did enjoy my time there in some aspects. However, after leaving and joining a different company I realized just what a toxic work environment I had been in at FF.
