Pros
The leadership team at Fluxx is one of a kind. They genuinely care about the staff's daily experience at Fluxx, the morale, and during COVID-19, they have expressed concern over everyone's mental health and work/life balance. They offer the standard benefits but what sets them apart is their flexibility and understanding that people have life/kids/family first. As a fully remote company, they strive to ensure no one feels left on an island and have even put a team together to improve the remote/virtual experience. The work itself is even gratifying because you're working with clients to improve lives across the world through the disbursement of grants. They discourage meetings late in the day on Fridays, which is great. In the time that I've been here, I've seen a lot of promotions from within the company so there are definitely career advancement opportunities.
Cons
During peak times and up against deadlines, the workload can be challenging but I don't know many SaaS companies that don't operate in the same manner. Time zones can sometimes be an issue, but not regularly. Everyone understands that non-urgent items can typically wait until the following day so you aren't necessarily pressured to answer during irregular business hours. There are a lot of (positive) changes occurring at Fluxx so you have to be able to adapt and be flexible. I only see this as a "con" if you are used to working for a much larger operation where you are accustomed to doing the same thing each day.
