Pros

As mentioned in the title, stocking is a simple and easy job. Find item in the backroom, load it on cart, place above correct tag on the shelf. 1st pro. In the particular location where I work, I chose that job because it was conveniently close to where I live. 2nd pro. My managers are chill and undemanding. They let me work in peace, I get daily exercise walking all over the store and lifting a variety of items of different weights. 3rd pro.

Cons

But there are some downsides. I began as a cashier, but asked to be switched over to being a stocker. I hated cashiering. Especially when most of our customers are rude, entitled welfare queens. Very often when we run into a problem in the front end of the store it's most likely some lady upset because she was fretting over her food stamps. Whether her old, worn out card wasn't read by the card reader or losing her temper when one of her groceries from her overloaded cart was accidently scanned twice. I hate those kind of customers the most. 1st con. I wouldn't mind dealing with awful customers if it weren't for the fact that I get paid a measly wage. Currently, I get paid $9/hr. That is not a livable wage. That's barely enough for rent + groceries after taxes.
