Pros

90% of customers and colleagues are delightful to work with. They are the best aspect of this job. The industry is vast and you can certainly learn a lot from customers and their food safety programs. HSA is available for the high deductible medical plan with an employer contribution. Unlimited PTO and paid holidays. Remote work available. UDemy subscription available for staff. Some opportunities to work with other departments for special projects.

Cons

Company was well meaning when originating, but has lost its way. Applicants be aware that the company has taken legal action against former employees after they have left for new positions. This may account for a lack of transparent reviews on FoodLogiQ. To start, data is disorganized, which means new employees will have to hunt for existing training or create it. The quarterly system updates make it so any existing learning materials are outdated almost as soon as they are approved. Training itself is lacking, but your team will try to assist as best they can. Overload is inevitable and apparent across all teams and finding help will reflect that. Engineer and Support teams are burnt out and majorly impacted by high turnover rates. Both cannot keep up with UI Improvements that customers were sold during their sales cycle. Work life balance is difficult to maintain. Meetings, appointments, and personal obligations are often asked to be shifted to make room for work obligations outside of the 40 hour work week. PTO is unlimited, but all departments report struggling with being able to disconnect from projects for any significant amount of time. All hours are tracked for certain customer facing rolls. 8 hour work days are expected to be submitted for review by leadership. Be mindful of your time, as non-client meetings will impact your time based scores. Job descriptions and expectations have been modified for employees with little discussion or input from the impacted person(s), leading to perform ongoing duties outside of their role without negotiation. No work from home allowances, so you will need to purchase and/or provide your own additional devices, desk, chair, etc. You will need at the very least an additional monitor to perform well. Sales representatives however are allowed a monthly stipend, so experiences may vary. Attracting and retaining talent is lacking. Many employees have quit within the last year. There is zero pay transparency, and employees are actively coached to not discuss wages. Statements have been made by leadership that they would like to be more transparent, but job postings still do not reflect that at this time. The new 401k match is very low and takes over half a decade to fully vest. Bonuses and raises are not competitive and do not keep up with the United States inflation rates or industry averages. Salaries are massively unaligned with other tech start up companies for similar/exact roles. Health insurance is expensive for the coverage received. There is also zero reimbursement allowances for professional development. Overall, I would say only take this opportunity to get exposure to a tech start up if you have a savings to fall back on and can reasonably expect to find a new role within a year.

Pros

I truly enjoyed working with my fellow team members, some of the best co-workers I have had in my professional career. They were bright and committed to FoodLogiQ's mission. The company has a lot of potential. It was nice to work on a product that can have such a positive impact.

Cons

Unfortunately, pretty much the entire executive team is incompetent and completely myopic in their strategic initiatives and management. It has caused many talented, committed employees to run for the hills. They seem to be more concerned with their title and image than their employees' morale and long-term growth of the company. It is sad to see a company destroyed by a few megalomaniacs that do not have the experience or talent to hold the positions they have, and keep it through deception, bullying, and delusion.
