Pros
If you want a paycheck.
Cons
Project Managers have no idea what they are doing, codebases are awful, no testing, no idea what they are doing. I was put on a project that had a senior front-end developer. The senior front end left, and I was put in his place, no change in salary, no nothing, expected to do the work of 2 people. I asked for a 3 day break, after which I was reprimanded for not being good at communication and for not "punchin in" correctly. Then I had the project on top of me expected to perform for two people, with so much pressure I just crumbled, took a 10-day break for health reasons, and was fired in between the break "because I asked to change projects and there is no other position" Is the official statement they gave me. I will be suing after this, because I revealed a health issue I have and while I was told there was a position in another team, now I'm being let go because of "performance issues".
