Pros

Your immediate colleagues will generally be great to work with. There are plenty of teams that have a genuine desire to make a great product and experience for customers.

Cons

Whatever you were hired for, your actual job will be managing the politics and egos of every manager you come into contact with. 10% what you came here to do, 90% being thrust into the pettiest, lowest stakes version of House of Cards. A majority of the time, you'll feel like you're fighting for your life just to meet your basic responsibilities. Even knowing that cybersecurity is an ol' boys club, this is especially true here. Of all the hires for the Engineering department from Q3 until the end of the year, 2 of them were women. You can make a difference here, but be ready to be talked over, down to, and dismissed by your male colleagues. Especially if those male colleagues are in management. There are a lot of organizational changes that are going on that aren't communicated. You'll hear of entire departments getting reorganized through the grapevine instead of from the people who should be telling you.

Pros

Lots of intelligent hardworking people who will drop what they have going on to help you. Excellent culture of coming together to get stuff done. Work life balance is good (you draw boundaries).

Cons

Benefits are ok, nothing stellar.

We’re pleased to hear that you’ve found Forescout to be a place that offers growth opportunities and an enjoyable work environment. Supporting employee development and creating meaningful career opportunities are important priorities for us. We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding work-life balance. While remote work offers flexibility, we recognise that it can sometimes blur the boundaries between work and personal time. We continue to encourage healthy working practices and support managers and teams in creating sustainable ways of working. Thank you again for your feedback and for your contributions to Forescout. K.A.
