Pros
What I love about working at Forge is that I am surrounded by people who give a honk about the work they do and care about each other. On engineering teams, it is very easy to find yourself surrounded by people who are dogmatic and ego-driven. This is not, in my experience, true of the Forge team. Individuals on the team certainly have their technical preferences, and there are many capable engineers. But the team's priority, first and foremost, is to deliver working software that provides business value while maintaining empathic relationships with their fellow engineers and stakeholders. These are difficult qualities to achieve simultaneously on an engineering team.
Cons
We are, for the most part, not currently working from an office together and so it is difficult to maintain connection with some co-workers.
