Pros

There are a lot of great people working at Forrester. You have the ability to learn a lot, work with interesting clients, and be a part of a process that influences decisions and programs that large companies make.

Cons

Forrester has decided to double down on a product that clients aren't super satisfied with (due to crazy cost upticks with with no other options available upon renewal). By doing so, sales teams have suffered, and they place the blame entirely on the individual reps who have to upsell sometimes upwards of a 35%-40% cost increase due to poor contract deals in the past. Management gives no grace. I exceeded my number and was told that I was "failing". They champion that we must "prove the value" (naturally), but what clients see is that they'll have to pay $20k+ more for a license. Even if we spun gold for them alongside this new product, in this economy a lot of people have not renewed, and internally even long time Forrester employees have left as the selling environment is just tireless with not a lot of gain. The internal culture has become very micromanaging (for any experienced reps it is simply agonizing), and there is little mobility within the organization to promote. While there were a lot of great smart people at the organization, the overarching tone of the employees was so negative. There is not a lot of trust in the executive team, and you can almost count on management not having your back. They are very clearly in the business now of getting people to quit, or put them on a path to get terminated with no severance. They can't afford more layoffs for their brand, so they are putting the blame of a horrible business decision on the backs of their employees. Don't bother working here. I have hope they will bounce back, but for now, working there is like canoeing upstream without a paddle. Good luck. I hope this review can save you some time and turmoil. On to better things!

Pros

Forrester is a truly rewarding place to work. I feel like I make a meaningful difference every day, both for our clients and within the organization. The colleagues here are exceptional. They are smart, collaborative, and genuinely supportive. I’m constantly learning from a talented group of people who care deeply about the quality of their work and the impact it has. The culture encourages thoughtful problem-solving, professional growth, and doing work that matters.

Cons

The most challenging aspect right now is the current business performance, which can create uncertainty and added pressure across teams. At times, this environment can impact workloads, decision-making speed, and overall predictability.

Thank you for your many years of contribution to Forrester ! I’m really glad to hear how strongly you feel about your colleagues and the impact of the work. It's wonderful to see the combination of thoughtful problem-solving, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes reflected in your experience. You’re also right to call out the challenges of the current business environment. Periods of change and performance pressure can create uncertainty, and I know that can impact workload, pace, and predictability. I am confident we are on the right path towards growth this year and it wouldnt have been possible without great colleagues like you. Thank you again for your candid feedback, it means a great deal coming from someone with such deep experience at Forrester. Jobina Gonsalves Chief People Officer
