Pros

1) Execs are engaged and fully hands-on. This is a motivating factor. 2) Relaxed work environment and friendly co-workers are a plus. 3) Several company-sponsored events throughout the year, which make things lighter. 4) The company is small enough to allow you to wear multiple hats with significant autonomy. 5) Cool projects and technology formerly focused on Department of Defense customers, but now making strides in commercial markets.

Cons

Multiple, competing deadlines at any given time can translate to high stress; Fast-paced (sometimes a frenetic pace ) Some management gaps, but all attributable to growing pains.

Pros

Forterra is honestly one of those rare companies that gets it right. The leadership team is incredible. They’re transparent, down-to-earth, and they actually care about both the mission and the people behind it. The culture here is also VERY rare for tech. No egos, no politics, no weird startup vibes. Everyone’s humble, helpful, and genuinely enjoys being here. You can tell people truly want to see each other win and are always willing to lend a hand. Leadership takes pride in the culture - they take it VERY seriously. You could be qualified for a role, but if you suck as a person, they won’t bring you on. On the flip side, if they see something in you and want you to join the team, they’ll find a way to make it work. The team’s full of veterans, so there’s a real sense of purpose and drive. It’s not about hype chasing some flashy IPO to feed egos. People here actually care about the mission. It’s just a great group of people doing meaningful work in a low-drama, high-trust environment. I feel so lucky to be part of it.

Cons

Honestly none that I can think of
