Pros
There are some really wonderful people who care passionately about what we do and work well together as a team. I am largely not micro-managed and am empowered to make decisions on how to manage my time and execute my work. My schedule is flexible as needed as long as my work gets done reliably. There are some genuine attempts to improve processes and tools to support the efficiency and quality of our work. Progress is slow due to continued spin-off activities and pre-existing inefficiencies within the company. Pay is competitive
Cons
Little to no opportunity for advancement Poor communication from Leadership to support employee awareness of the company vision/direction/goals or any tangible way to support those through the work we are doing, There are frequent changes in priority leading to abrupt changes in the work you are assigned and timelines agreed upon with leadership which is quite frustrating. I have little to no choice on the work I am assigned, but am left largely to my own devices without sufficient support to execute the work. Poor resourcing due to re-structuring activities related to the recent spin-off from Labcorp Challenges with systems/processes functionality and consistency leading to data governance and compliance issues - many of these are going through assessment for improvement related to spin-activities Poor company culture - stated goals and priorities do not align with the decisions/actions taken by leadership Lack of alignment between the stated processes and the actual processes being followed in many cases.
