Pros

If you're looking for a flexible place to work, the managers will work with you to optimize your schedule depending on the business's current demands. The schedule is set every week, and there are huge incentives to substitute teach ($3/hour more!). Plus, everyone there is passionate about what they do, so being there is almost like being a family with them.

Cons

This job is demanding and a little draining as you're working in a very warm pool with lessons back to back. The chlorine can be much, so make sure to bring lots of lotion for when you're done. They also have high standards for their employees (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), so as long as you do your best every day, you should be good to go.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear that you appreciate the flexibility we strive to provide and that the extra incentives for substitute teaching are a plus for you. It’s wonderful to know that the team feels like a family—this is exactly the atmosphere we want to foster, with everyone committed to creating a positive environment. We understand that the role can be physically demanding, especially with the warmth of the pool and chlorine exposure. Your advice on bringing lotion is spot-on! And yes, we do set high standards because we want our employees and students to have the best possible experience. We’re grateful for your dedication and commitment to giving it your all each day. Thanks again for sharing your insights!

Pros

Gives you space to really develop yourself skills if this is something you want to do.

Cons

It has become corporate and money driven. The bottom line is becoming more important than families. Things feel chaotic and corporate doesn’t communicate well. Management is constantly over worked and underplayed. There is no way to accomplish all of the new mandates corporate has implemented in the last few years

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective and for recognizing the dedication of our school management teams. We agree that our leaders work incredibly hard to support both their teams and the families they serve. As we've grown, we've continued to evolve our processes and programs to better support our schools. Our corporate teams are here to partner with and support our locations in whatever ways they need, and we know that open communication and employee feedback are essential to that partnership. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as we're always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and strengthen the support we provide across our organization.
