Pros

The mission of the work is great, even if you don't work with students directly there is a sense of mission driven work. Depending on what team you fall on, the relationships with teammates and colleagues can be very rewarding. Internal DEI efforts are cool to be a part of and the committees feel inclusive.

Cons

- There is a culture of burnout. I heard the CEO once say "That is how is how our organization works, when you are really good at your job you are given more work." Being given more work is not a bad thing inherently, it can show that you are doing well in your role and can give you a chance to take on more to work toward career opportunities. But stretching high performing employees to their limit by giving them more work without a pay increase or promotion leads to burnout. - Processing raises and promotions takes forever. Meanwhile you are doing the extra work without a pay that reflects your current capacity. - Lack of transparency in pay and promotion at the higher levels. - Some of the core values the organization touts are not reflected in the culture. - The org takes on really big projects and then spreads the employees thin.
