Pros

You can work from home sometime

Cons

Worst place I have ever worked. During my three years there, I was repeatedly told not to ask for a pay rise, despite being told in the interview that there were yearly pay evaluations. Staff are treated like items, not people. There is no work culture whatsoever — no Christmas parties, no team get-togethers, nothing. Basic things are lacking. You have to bring your own milk to work, and even then it’s likely someone will take it. After three years of service — alongside teammates who had been there for over 10 years — we were all given just one week’s notice that we were being made redundant. Redundancy alone is not the reason for this poor review; it’s everything combined. The company has been shrinking rapidly. In three years, it went from occupying full buildings and two floors to just one wing. Clients are leaving, with multiple campaigns moving away from Kingston every year. We had four directors in three years (if I remember correctly), which says a lot about the instability. Overall, the place is badly managed, unstable, and demoralising. An absolute mess.

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
