Pros

It's a job that pays some bills

Cons

I worked in an online chat agent position. In training we were taught to tell the section manager if someone was being super innaproprate more than once. I kept getting the same people trying to use it for sex, following protocol I notified my manager, who told me to deal with it. I spoke with HR about the issue, they told me that nothing was going to change and I was just wasting everyone's time. I continued to get sexually harassed by at least 5 customers per day, many of them repeate offenders. Management manipulated the rules constantly so no matter how many sales I made I looked bad I was unable to get a straight answer out of anyone regarding protocol on many different things resulting in much confusion and loss of sale

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
