Pros

um, I like working with people

Cons

I've been there appx. 2 years, in the last six months the place has sort of gone to hell, the truth is Verizon wireless had 2 departments in there, removed warranty and has gone to customer care. So when they pull out it's easier to get rid of one campagin than 2 Origional mission statement "Vision, Passion, Purpose" Current Mission statement "Getit. Over. Faster." Free t-shirts and keychains can only lift morale so much fact is they have every one on a plan that makes them 4 weeks away from losing there job, the focus has gone from customer service to an 8 hour game of beat the clock. the market in the area is so tapped out that they are re-hhiring people they fired because they can't find people who can do the job. it's sort of like watching a sick family menber wither and will die. As for advancement, if management likes you, you will advance if you have the statistical rankings, but you are not liked, you will not advance. We have a person who hass been there 2 years, been in the top 10 in rankings month after month, but has not been promoted despite applying each time promotions have been announced.

Pros

Some level of job security. You know exactly what you're doing because it's a call center. Different client projects that you could apply to be part of. Located in Orem by the mall. Decent pay ($25 an hour... for now).

Cons

You can't have anything on the call floor depending on the client (I support Intuit, so there are no phones, paper, pencils, books... nothing). The benefits are atrocious. PTO doesn't start until after 6 months. Company politics and favorites exist here. I'd say about 30% of calls get transferred to us from other departments (Payroll, Payments, Desktop, Saves, Sales, pretty much everyone) that should not have been transferred and could have been solved without us. They're going to hire more account resolution specialists soon after so many agents left, and they're starting their pay at $20 an hour.... so just think about what means for us. You get one occurrence per day you are absent even if you call in sick. I think 10 is the limit.
