Bad and inexperienced management. A lot of phony people.
They are only doing well because people like furniture and are misled into thinking it is of good quality. It is not because of any great ideas coming from above. Management claims they want change and encourage new ideas but are actually inflexible and lack the needed experience and knowledge. There are VP's being promoted because they are good at kissing up but do not have a clue or are personable. Most would not be management at other companies.
They have one VP that lacks any social or communication skills and is not liked by the department this person runs or by most people in the company. The department is very unhappy. Upper management preaches about change thru workshops but they themselves do not use any of it. Yes, they are growing and if you are young, this is a good place to get experience. But, the joke is after 2 years, you will know that it is time to leave. Do not trust anyone. They make money in spite of the lack of management. Human Resources will do nothing. They will respond to this review but know it is true deep down. They are there for upper management and this is where their bread is buttered. HR cannot be friends on Facebook with VP's and be fair if an employee has an issue with one of them. Good ideas do not matter only playing the game. If you like to gamble then go for it.
