Female minorities make less than white males. At least this has been my experience and I know of other minority females that were started at less despite deserving equal pay so blatant discrimination here. At first, they denied schedule changes for pregnancy medical appointments. It was only after I submitted a complaint with UALD that they accommodated these schedule changes. They made it a point to make it known to me that this was a privilege I should be grateful for. Expect to be gaslighted if you address concerns and expect to receive retaliation/harassment in any which way they can if you so much as dared address valid and alarming concerns.
