Pros

FrankCrum is a family based organization that prides itself in spending the time and attention needed to get to know their workforce, their clients and the employees they support. Their leadership teams have an open door policy that cultivates idea exchanges and process improvement thinktanks to better our service model delivery, ongoing technology and AI integration. Our staff is professional, kind and humble. We lead with a service mentality first and foremost while balancing one of the best work/life models I've seen since working for a larger corporation. I can personally speak on the hard working and dedicated leadership group and team of individuals that make up the Benefits department. That department genuinely cares about their colleagues and the clients they support. I would recommend FrankCrum to anyone seeking a new opportunity!

Cons

FrankCrum is growing with technology; while some systems are antiquated in current state, we have multiple projects underway to covert our population to cutting edge platforms.

Pros

Decent benefits — honestly, the main reason I stayed as long as I did. Pay is fair but on the low end for the work. Reasonable work-life balance on hours. Remote/flexible work was available while I was there (not sure it still is).

Cons

PTO is stingy — don't expect much time off. Leadership is top-down and personality-driven. Decisions come from a small circle, and you're expected to fall in line, not push back. Good luck getting a new idea or honest feedback to land. IT and engineering are chaotic and reactive. Whatever's loudest that day wins. Energy goes to fighting fires, not preventing them. There's a heavy "look busy" streak too — lots of performing work instead of doing it, and meetings held mostly to be seen holding meetings. HR isn't in your day-to-day so much as always watching it. There's a constant sense of being monitored — an ambient, looming presence, like something could come down on you at any moment, even when nothing's wrong. It puts a low hum of tension over everything. The pattern underneath it all: things are done a certain way because they've always been done that way. Course-correcting is hard even when something clearly isn't working. Initiatives that flop don't get rethought — they come back later with a new name.

Thank you for such a candid and detailed review. We take your feedback to heart. We're glad that our benefits, work-life balance, and flexibility served you well during your time with us. And to answer your question—yes, remote and flexible work is still available within FrankCrum. As a company that's been around for 40 years with a team of 550 people, we know that habits become ingrained over time, for better or worse. What we can tell you is that we're genuinely in a season of transformation and realignment, particularly around innovation. We're actively working to become more agile, to break old patterns, and to create more room for new ideas and honest feedback to land. Part of that work means listening to how our environment feels to the people in it. You described a sense of visible activity being valued over real results, and a feeling of being watched—a hum of tension even when nothing was wrong. We don't want anyone here to feel that way. It's something we're committed to examining closely. Lastly, we want everyone here to feel they can speak openly and building that kind of trust is a focus for us. Reviews like yours help us hold ourselves accountable to that work. Thank you again for providing this feedback. We appreciate it.
