Pros

You’ll meet some genuinely talented and dedicated colleagues who care about doing good work. The analytical problems are interesting and have real impact. Benefits and overall stability are solid.

Cons

Leadership can be hit‑or‑miss. Direction changes often, and decisions sometimes get pushed off until the last minute. Workload isn’t balanced well. A few people end up carrying a lot because planning and support aren’t always there. Managers vary widely. Some are supportive, others avoid tough calls, which leaves teams guessing. A lot depends on individual effort. Instead of clear processes, things often get done because certain people step up repeatedly. Onboarding is tough. Key knowledge sits with a small number of overextended people, so new hires can struggle to get up to speed. Career growth for senior technical folks is limited. The path forward isn’t always clear or aligned with contribution. Your experience will depend heavily on which team and manager you land with.

Pros

Good culture Easy to coffee chat people Easy to get involved in projects - just ask. Talk to HR to get good advice on getting ahead. Feel free to be open with your manager if you want to try another internship next summer - internal hiring process happens before apps open to the public so get on that if you find a business division interesting or appealing.

Cons

Lots of reorgs happened within company and some teams are stretched at least temporarily. Also not every team that welcomed interns is actually hiring for next year or even for forseeable future, so if you're comfortable and want a return offer, make sure to ask if that isn't made perfectly clear to you.
