Feel free to be open with your manager if you want to try another internship next summer - internal hiring process happens before apps open to the public so get on that if you find a business division interesting or appealing.

Lots of reorgs happened within company and some teams are stretched at least temporarily. Also not every team that welcomed interns is actually hiring for next year or even for forseeable future, so if you're comfortable and want a return offer, make sure to ask if that isn't made perfectly clear to you.
