Pros
Great bonuses, Consistent raises based of performance, In my job I get fair amount of travel, the benefits are nice, my supervisor makes it a easy and less stressful work place.
Cons
Politics and self placed regulations impede progress and production. Safety is amazing but the department has individuals who are more hypocritical enforcers than work place resources. This has forced some departments to spend countless hours on shifting directions multiple times until Safety has finally made up there mind, which is increasing the cost of operation. Old training mentalities are combating efforts to introduce new, safe, and efficient ideas. Depending on department not a lot of room for advancement.
