Pros

Honestly, nothing. In the past I would have talked about how great the workforce was, how driven and talented people were, but a series of aggressive changes and layoffs by new ownership has pushed out most of our best people.

Cons

New ownership has treated people completely inhumanely and without any respect or trust. Essentially every policy or program that FreshDirect had in place to benefit their workforce has been killed by Getir post acquisition, many of which were announced with very little notice. No remote work, no unlimited vacation or sick time, no summer hours. Extremely poor communication and support in the wake of sweeping layoffs at the beginning of 2024, which were seemingly made without any research into what people do or who they report to. Office is in a truly horrible location in the South Bronx, with most employees needing to take multiple trains to a shuttle bus and investing considerable time into their commute. Hours are not flexible and again, no remote work is allowed. They monitor badge swipes into the building and we've at times had to sign physical attendance sheets like we're children. It feels less like being an employee and more like being a prisoner.

Pros

The pay is nowhere near worth the mental anguish. They go through human resources staff faster than any other company I have ever known or worked for in my 15 year career. Completely unprofessional AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Cons

Overworked and unappreciated staff. Leadership is unprofessional and extremely disorganized. Almost every employee is stressed and
