As a former general manager I was never supported by upper management, we were always short staffed could never find enough help to work, never find enough managers to work and upper management never cared, they will just keep piling on the work they will keep changing their mind, it will make your life miserable. There is no quality-of-life you will work every Thanksgiving, every Christmas nobody cares, you will have a mandatory general manager meeting every week that you must attend it does not if it’s on your day off or if you close that night nobody cares you must be there. Once again please trust the overall average score and believe it is that bad.
