This is a company that had incredible potential but decided to take priority in a small brewery and shopping center instead of investing in its employees and pet food business for which I was hired. Not only are the employees vastly under compensated, they are often under appreciated and overworked. They start off saying day one that they have no problem paying overtime, they failed to mention that it’s expected-with employees working 50+ hour weeks regularly. My managers and my coworkers I had little complaints about. The owner of the company is the one who calls all the shots and despite managers advocating for better pay/hours/etc he fails to see the importance of treating your employees well. I’m my time there, over 10 employees left because of the toxic life sucking culture this employer provided. If hired, beware that you will be regularly asked to do things completely unrelated to your job title and may never actually get duties related.
