Pros
There are some really competent top-level managers – know tech, know how to manage; really good folks. Note the key word there: some. BTW, Rex is no longer CEO; he left in 2022.
Cons
Frontdoor got hammered by inflation and severe drop in home sales in 2022. When new CEO ousted SVP that was running combined Engineering + Product org in early 2023, made a whole lot of folks wonder. Rapidly turning into a pure sweat shop! crank it out!! Must have it done by the date!!! Doesn’t matter if the code is solid, scalable, etc. We can have endless fire drills to deal with issues! Better folks leaving, or being forced out. Too many idiot first-level managers who don’t know tech, how to manage individuals, or how to manage teams! Not to mention the psycho ones who go off on individual contributors not on their team(!)
