People make the difference in the project that I was in based in Lisbon/Braga, Portugal. Honest paycheck, but of course low salaries, not new in Portugal. Flexible management.
Cons
Totally amateur project. Software tools are completely outdated, and poorly used. Flagrant misuse of the available tools, in this case simple Office. Management wanted you to use the tools that barely worked in the remote regime. Constant threats to return to the office for insisting on using slow software that required perfect internet, something only available in the office. Dishonesty in this sense. The promise of a permanent bonus is a fallacy. Whistleblowing by other hierarchical superiors, and constant monitoring of working hours. Even control of toilet time. So a job to sustain for a short time on an emergency basis.
