Pros
FullStory was a special place. The people could not have been more incredible. The product, game changing. The branding, fun and meaningful. The culture, one of a kind. The leadership, creative and passionate. FullStory is still an innovative company, but the rocket ship that once seemed unstoppable may now not even make it into orbit.
Cons
Everything changed with a desire to move upmarket. New leadership was brought in from capital E enterprise companies. With them came nepotism and went opportunity. Great people that had built what FullStory was, left the company and the hiring bar fell, replacing these great people with good ones, but losing what made the company special. Culture evaporated, gone was Hugging, a role that set FullStory apart and was beloved by even our largest customers. Branding went from fun and well thought out to just meh. FullStory sacrificed what made it special in a pursuit of “the enterprise.” The biggest sacrifice in that pursuit was the employee.
