      Pros

      I am lucky to work at great schools who support social workers and our ideas. It's different everyday and you can really impact students and families. Good compensation and benefits for this line of work.

      Cons

      We are given tons and tons of duties, some more administrative tasks, that take away from the real "social work" that we could be doing. Not enough time to do everything that I would like to do with extra duties.

      You get a wide variety of schools to work with.

      Cons

      South Fulton and Alpharetta are really far away from the city center, and there can be a lot of favoritism in those areas. Paraprofessional pay is very low, and that can sometimes be the only thing that is available on Aesop. You may barely have a break to take your lunch - 30 mins or so.
