Funko is a good place to work, but a lot of politics. Good short term work though. - Production Worker Funko Employee Review

Pros

It seems to be a place with decent pay and the work seems to be easy enough for someone who struggled in school to pay off some of their expenses.. It's a good side gig job and a lot of the cons are the types that you'll find in the bigger companies like Amazon, Costco, and elsewhere. For what it is, it's an okay job, but lack of conversion opportunities with benefits is a big one for me. As for judging the CEO's performance I would have to know their business model in detail, before making a final decision. It's always hard to tell whether the direction a company is heading towards is a good direction or a bad direction with no business model to inform my judgement. If I did that, I would've said that Amazon would have went in a bad direction, because I only looked at the conditions in the warehouse to formulate my decision. Their are always a lot factors to consider, including oneself, when making a final decision for the CEO.

Cons

The learning environment for learning warehouse operations appears to be unstructured. I hope someday I could find enough time to fix that situation. I do want something to put on my resume or cover letter. Hopefully, maybe I could trade that project for working a side job for Funko. Always looking for more work. There isn't enough opportunities for career advancement, which results in lot of politics and backstabbing in the workplace. I'm hoping to be able to work more hours. It's very hard to get conversation and benefits, it takes like a year to do so.

Pros

The team you get to work with and grow with is the best part of the job. If you’re into the product, the employee discount is solid I suppose.

Cons

Near zero chance for career growth with this company, within the retail store itself or moving up to corporate. The company has been subject to frequent layoffs and “restructuring”. The retail store has had three different general managers (so far). There are associates that have been part time for years, yet working full time hours, receiving no benefits. The retail store doesn’t utilize its workers properly. Good, solid workers have jumped ship completely due to burnout, being stepped on, management refusing to correct toxic workplace behavior, and selective coaching. You’re promised the opportunity to grow, but denied the development to make that a reality.
