Pros

My coworkers were the main thing to look forward to while working there. Once in a while they would toss out free stuff and we were supposed to feel like we just got a bonus. The toys are cool to look at but while unloading boxes from a truck and seeing footprints on a couple of them, it reminded me that toys aren’t cool when a company uses shoeless children from an impoverished country to make them. Oh yeah and they’d have a taco truck come for lunch once a month. That’s a great excuse to pay the warehouse workers “backbone of the company” crap.

Cons

Horrible pay and expect you to work whenever they want, with no care for your life outside the company (not much care for you inside the company unless you were one of the chosen few). Awful management that treat the warehouse like pawns. The CEO is the worst, always walking around like he was a god for us peasants to worship. During a Christmas party at Lucky Strike in Bellevue I saw him throwing money to a group of girls encouraging them to take more and more shots. Eventually one of them had to be carried out. Disgusting, no respect for his employees excuse of a man.

Pros

The team you get to work with and grow with is the best part of the job. If you’re into the product, the employee discount is solid I suppose.

Cons

Near zero chance for career growth with this company, within the retail store itself or moving up to corporate. The company has been subject to frequent layoffs and “restructuring”. The retail store has had three different general managers (so far). There are associates that have been part time for years, yet working full time hours, receiving no benefits. The retail store doesn’t utilize its workers properly. Good, solid workers have jumped ship completely due to burnout, being stepped on, management refusing to correct toxic workplace behavior, and selective coaching. You’re promised the opportunity to grow, but denied the development to make that a reality.
