Pros

Coming from the healthcare industry of 7 years working in HR and recruiting, working at Funko has taught and brought out my true potential as a recruiter. I love meeting creatives on a daily basis and being able to brag about where I work! I strive to give everyone the best initial phone conversation and make it a memorable one even if they don't get moved on. As recruiters, I feel we get a bad rep for not being engaging and I treat every candidate I talk to special and make it the best experience they have had. Funko has given me the ability to truly express and be myself in the role I am in. My team is amazing and I feel like I constantly brag about how supportive they are. My manager is great and someone I feel I can go to for guidance and mentoring. I mean this when I say our team is assembled like the avengers and I know I can count on them whenever I need help. One quote I will leave with and I tell my candidates when they ask what do I like about working for Funko. When you truly find what you love, you will never work a day in your life.

Cons

Don't have any cons personally, just wish I could see my team in person more often since we are in different locations!!

Pros

The team you get to work with and grow with is the best part of the job. If you’re into the product, the employee discount is solid I suppose.

Cons

Near zero chance for career growth with this company, within the retail store itself or moving up to corporate. The company has been subject to frequent layoffs and “restructuring”. The retail store has had three different general managers (so far). There are associates that have been part time for years, yet working full time hours, receiving no benefits. The retail store doesn’t utilize its workers properly. Good, solid workers have jumped ship completely due to burnout, being stepped on, management refusing to correct toxic workplace behavior, and selective coaching. You’re promised the opportunity to grow, but denied the development to make that a reality.
