      Pros

      If you want a government type job where you fill a seat and retire in 25 years, this is the place for you. Gallo provides okay health benefits and pay is average. Ability to work from home and summer hours are nice for Fridays. There is a wine shop with 50% discounts and it can be a nice perk for family.

      Cons

      Gallo has vapid leadership from Director and Senior Manager levels. Management plays politics and if you are not kissing up to your leaders, you will not go anywhere. You will notice promotions are based on who quits the company and not on amount of time in the job or contributions to the department. If you question the status quo, you will be black listed and pushed out of the company. Gallo would rather award mediocre performers than someone who wants to make change. Gallo needs to fix the issues instead of cover it up with bandages. The culture is not diverse and continues to lose the limited diversity it once had.

      Pros

      Gallo has extremely talented people and incredible products. I’ve found real opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact.

      Cons

      Fast pace at times, with occasional shifting priorities. Very few downsides overall.

      Pros

      For the area, this is one of the best places to work living in the Central Valley.

      Cons

      Priorities aren’t aligned across the business units. There’s a real lack of what it means to work at Gallo these days. Each group is out for themselves.
