Pros

I work with some very incredible and caring people across many departments such as Finance, HR, Recruiting, Contracts, IT, Program Management and with the company Senior Leadership. From the President down, the company emphasizes engagement with our employees and customers at a high level and it shows. My Manager shares a lot of the strategic vision with me transparently. There is clear focus on how to grow (the right way) within the Government Health Market as a trusted partner to our customers (NIH, CDC, ASPR, etc.). Outside of Health, a similar approach is also in place for other portfolios. My co-workers are generally helpful, approachable, and demonstrate that they care about the needs of every single employee in the company. They also aspire to do whatever they can for field staff members (within reason). I highly recommend GAP Solutions to anyone looking for a good place to work, whether working at HQ or supporting a Government customer directly. GAP Solutions is one of the few Government Contracting firms out there that actually listens to what the employees are saying, communicates with them proactively, and has implemented many improvements along the way to keep our employees happy and retain them for our customers.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind as a con.

Pros

Good benefits, pay and HR staff are great.

Cons

Required pto usage during government shutdown even if your position is funded and paid for. So the company just pockets the money and eats your pto, then you get put on leave without pay once you run out of pto until the government reopens.
