Pros

Very cool technologies (a juicy carrot for engineers) and hungry aviation markets for it. Many bright people work there. 800-lbm gorilla of the commercial jet-engine market.

Cons

Poor leadership/management decisions; "stop and start" repeatedly on programs; very shallow depth in most positions (due to high turnover, career movements); massive overhead accounting load due to the convergence of past bad investment decisions; spread too thin globally to facilitate global, political, market deals; losing experience and expertise due to passive and active attrition corporate measures to reduce headcount budgets; lots of employee frustration.
