Pros

Opportunity to learn a lot of different disciplines because of the small environment.

Cons

Ge Yakima site is a small site (about 300 people). This site has great difficulties hiring talent and has consistently seen a huge turn-over due to several reasons. Yakima is a small, rural town, where the majority of the population is Hispanic, the crime rate is high and there is not much to do (specially if you come from a large city and you are not into camping). GE Yakima site, as a consequence of the natural selection during the years, is run mostly by locals that have been in Yakima all their lives. Management doesn't have clear ideas and is still trying to get used to the new GE mentality: this has greatly impacted the business in the recent economic downturn.
