As the office was expanding, a lot of office politics set in. You didn't know who to trust. Managers played favorites and did not have technical expertise. A manager having an intimate relationship with a direct report. A transgendered employee reports you to HR if you unknowingly refer to them as the incorrect pronouns. I didn't realize how toxic this workplace was until I left. The actual work was stressing. Lots of micromanaging and you were expected to take 2 or 3 chats at a time. There's also no room to grow in the company and a lot of the applications are so proprietary, you'll have little value to other organizations.
